Innovation happening inside Roseman Bioventures is getting some well-deserved attention.

WAVR Technologies, a resident company at Roseman Bioventures, is featured in the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Vegas Business section in an article by reporter Todd Dewey highlighting the Las Vegas startup’s work to address one of the most fundamental challenges facing communities around the world: access to water.

The article, “Las Vegas startup turns desert air into water,” explores WAVR’s development and commercialization of atmospheric water harvesting technology designed to extract water directly from the air — including in extremely dry environments like the Mojave Desert.

A spinout from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, WAVR is working to move its technology from research and development toward commercial-scale applications. Its systems could ultimately offer new approaches to water generation in locations where traditional water infrastructure is limited, unreliable or unavailable.
